In my role as County School Librarian, I have the privilege of supporting school library staff throughout the County, forging unique partnerships with each person at each school.
My goals are simple: our kids deserve better. Better than the outdated and worn-out books I see in every single library.
As a former School Board Member, I'm acutely aware of the challenges schools face with budgets, and I also know it's a privilege for any school to have funds for books or supplies. Your donation to our school library collections is tax- deductible, and every penny is used to order books.
These books are sent to our District office, where our Technical Services team processes and catalogs each one, making them shelf ready to send to the schools. As part of the process, a book plate featuring the donor's name is included in each book. Together, we can make a difference.
As Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
Thank you!
